Paul Smith said on March 19th, 2011 filed under: LOCAL AREA PHOTOS, LOCAL NEWS

At this time last year it felt like spring. This year I feel like it’s the middle of winter.

It has been a great winter, the first snow started back in November and the skiing has been incredible.  With all this snow we should have a full lake and an incredible summer, which should make for an incredible year.  Ahhh, life at Lake Tahoe is incredible.

Here is what my back decks looks like today, and this is just the second day of a six day storm.

Sprint Lake TahoeSpring in Lake Tahoe?

Well maybe in our office.

Orchids are not only beautiful and have a fragrant smell, they are also fun to photograph.

Spring Lake TahoeWe recently purchased a Cannon Rebel T2i. Learning to use it has been alot of fun, but we still have alot to learn.

I know for me this is an exciting time of year. Though I love winter, I love warmer weather more. With the warm weather comes adventures on our bikes, taking hikes and flying to new and exciting places.

Have you been thinking about a vacation home  in Lake Tahoe? Or perhaps relocating here?

The calm before the storm at Lake Tahoe

Paul Smith said on February 22nd, 2011 filed under: COMMUNITY, LOCAL AREA PHOTOS, LOCAL NEWS

More snow on the way for Lake Tahoe.

The last storm systems brought in plenty of snow for Presidents Day Weekend and Ski Skate Week.

According to the Tahoe Weather Geek we are in for another cold storm.  It has been great to have a break with blue skies and dry roads.  Although some of the roads are still single lane due to the snow, Cal Trans is gradually opening neighborhood roads to two lanes.  But it won’t be long before I have to start up the snow blower again.
