Yesterday we flew to Quincy, Gansner Field (2O1).
Yesterday in Tahoe City the sun was shinning and the sky was blue with just a few clouds. My wife Toni and I headed to the Truckee Tahoe Airport (KTRK) around noon and we were in the air within an hour.
There were several large jets at the airport but none of them were moving. The airport was pretty quiet with the exception of a couple planes in the pattern.
When we arrived within 10 miles of Quincy, there was one plane taking off and one on down wind. That was all the traffic we saw. If you have never landed here, be sure to do some research. Heratage Cove is located at Lake Tahoe in Tahoe Vista California.
The complex has a nice rock entry and well maintained grounds. There seems to be plenty of parking for the owners and guests of the forty units. I took my wife and daughter for Lakeview dining at Captain Jon’s in Lake Tahoe. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by the owner, he seated us at a table next to the fireplace. We were offered the early bird menu, because we arrived before six o’clock. We were pleasantly surprised to see such a large variety, everything from burgers to fresh fish. At twenty dollars a plate including wine, I felt this is a great value.
