Fallen Leaf Lake is located on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.

This is a fun day trip if you are staying on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. The drive from Tahoe City is only about thirty minutes and there are several places to stop along the way. You can almost walk across the salmon at Taylor Creek

The salmon are spawning at Taylor Creek in South Lake Tahoe.

Part 8 of 10 Lakes Near Lake Tahoe…Marlette Lake

There are two well maintained trails from Spooner Lake that lead to Marlette Lake. One of the trails is for mountain bikes and the other is reserved for hiking. Today Toni, my wife, and I choose the bike trail. We parked at the old Ponderosa Ranch where we caught a shuttle that took us and our bikes to the Spooner Lake parking lot. There is a $10.00 fee for the shuttle ride. The ride up to the lake
