Granite Chief Wilderness area
Toni and I left the trail head at 5:30pm. The trail head is located near Bear Creek Road, in Alpine Meadows. It may have been a little late to start the hike but it was a warm day and the sun was just above the first ridge, which allowed for a cooler hike. Great Pizza Place at Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, CA.
Last Wednesday it was my turn to buy tacos for the office. Along with great pizza, Front Street Station Pizza Company makes incredible carne asada tacos, and they have a three taco special on Wednesdays. Although Lake Tahoe is a big beautiful lake with an abundance of activities, I thought it would be fun to share 10 lakes near Lake Tahoe with you. The first will be Sardine Lake, located in the Sierra Buttes. The Lake is about an hour and fifteen minute drive from Tahoe City, a great day trip.

I took my wife and daughter for Lakeview dining at Captain Jon’s in Lake Tahoe. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by the owner, he seated us at a table next to the fireplace. We were offered the early bird menu, because we arrived before six o’clock. We were pleasantly surprised to see such a large variety, everything from burgers to fresh fish. At twenty dollars a plate including wine, I felt this is a great value.
