Independence Lake is the second lake in my series of 10 Lakes Near Lake Tahoe. The first lake was Sardine Lake.

Great Pizza at Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, Ca

Great Pizza Place at Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, CA.

Last Wednesday it was my turn to buy tacos for the office. Along with great pizza, Front Street Station Pizza Company Front Stret station tahoe city pizzamakes incredible carne asada tacos, and they have a three taco special on Wednesdays. Although Lake Tahoe is a big beautiful lake with an abundance of activities, I thought it would be fun to share 10 lakes near Lake Tahoe with you. Captain Jon's Restaurant Lake Tahoe

I took my wife and daughter for Lakeview dining at Captain Jon’s in Lake Tahoe. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by the owner, he seated us at a table next to the fireplace. We were offered the early bird menu, because we arrived before six o’clock. We were pleasantly surprised to see such a large variety, everything from burgers to fresh fish. At twenty dollars a plate including wine, I felt this is a great value.

Things to do in Tahoe City

at Lake Tahoe, California. Just by taking a walk through town you will see a variety of restaurants, shops, and breathtaking views of the lake. Tahoe City is located in the Sierra Mountain range at about 6,200 feet in elevation and approximately a 200 Mile drive from San Francisco.

Besides the restaurants and shops Tahoe City has a golf course, museums, park, movie theater,real estate offices, it’s own dam and more.??The Tahoe City Golf Course is a nine hole, truly a user friendly course, great for the whole family. They have a small pro-shop and golf carts for an additional charge. The restaurant and bar is a local favorite with sit down and walk-up dining.
