Today I’m having an open house at my listing at 4990 North Lake Blvd. Carnelian Bay.
If you would like to stop by you can also visit the wooden boat show just down the street at Sierra Boat Company.
I walked down to the boat show and took a couple photos, it seemed to be a good turnout. Lots of boats and lots of vendors.

Flight from KTRK Truckee Tahoe to O22 Columbia Airport
Last Thursday we flew down to Columbia Airport O22 to photograph the Cal Fire Fleet.
On the way down we flew over Lake Tahoe along the west shore, what a view! The water was crystal clear and we had a slight tail wind which made for a quick smooth ride. Shortly after our arrival at Columbia Airport, Cal Fire was returning from a call, so we watched the fleet as each plane made a flawless landing. The airport also has a grass strip. We saw a tail dragger come in for a not so flawless landing. A Cal Fire crew member greeted us as we approached their fleet and escorted us around as I took photos. He also answered several of our questions and we talked about what their jobs entailed.
After our visit, we prepared for our departure in the run-up area at the same time as Cal Fire. We waited and watched the whole fleet depart, first the spotter, then both tankers and a helicopter, quite impressive. Once we were in the air we could see the fire that they were heading to.
On the flight home we flew over Echo Lakes, it was amazing to see the amount of snow that is still in that area.
The Truckee Tahoe Airport KTRK, is conveniently located near Lake Tahoe. This is a great place for a pilot to own a vacation home.
